St. Denis Catholic Church

Welcome to the Faith Formation program at St. Denis!

We are dedicated to teaching the truths of our faith to the youth of the parish.  Our goal is to help the youth form a firm foundation rooted in the Gospel from which love for Christ can grow.  With a strong knowledge of the faith, the youth will be more equipped to go out into the world and make a difference.  Our wonderful volunteers are the heart of our program.  Their hard work and dedication week after week are a true service to our parish and community.
We offer Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) for 4-6 year olds on Sundays  from 10:15 - 11:15 am.  First through Eighth Grade meet on Sunday mornings from 10:15-11:15 am.  First  and Second Grade classes are held in the parish hall,  Third to Eighth Grades meet in classrooms in Hanover High School. Our Confirmation Program is a two-year commitment, involving class twice a month from 5:45 - 7:15 pm, community service, and retreats.  It is our great desire that after the high school students have been Confirmed in the faith, they continue to seek the Lord and take advantage of the lifelong learning opportunities available in our parish for spiritual growth and renewal.
While First Penance and First Holy Communion are celebrated in Second Grade and Confirmation in celebrated in high school, it is vital that the children be involved in religious education each year. Every year the youth can grow in knowledge of our Lord, and we would not want to deny any child that joyous opportunity.
